Amândio Coxito is portuguese and was born in 1967 in Mozambique, lived from 1968 to 1990 in Coimbra and since in Lisbon and Porto. He attended in 1984 an initiation course at the Centro de estudos fotográficos de Coimbra oriented by Albano Pereira, but only began the regular and criative practice of photography in 2003. He uses the computer as privileged place for fruition of images and the internet for their presentation, notably as a member of the site Photopoints where he received several distinctions. He is a professioinal in Engineering and was also a math teacher. He resides presently in Lisbon.
